Charlotte Williams

Customer Services Representative

Charlotte Williams portraitI relocated from Huddersfield in January 1999 to join Warwick as a scientist in the Textile laboratory. Along with my new role testing bleach formulations on fabrics and fibres, I also embarked on a day-release Chemistry course at the local college, as the company were keen for me to continue my education.

I then moved to the Biocides Laboratory where my role involved the preparation of biocidal formulations and testing the efficacy against a range of micro-organisms. Upon completion of an HNC in Chemistry, my manager suggested a business course to improve my all round knowledge.

During this time an opportunity arose for a secondment to the Sales Office. As I was studying business it seemed like an ideal opportunity to apply the knowledge gained at college to a 'real' business situation. It was during my secondment that the position in the sales office became permanent and I have now been in the Sales Office for seven years during which time I have gained a Business Management Degree and due to Warwick's ongoing commitment to provide training for staff I also completed a NVQ level 3 in Customer Services.
